Yesterday the storm chasing world got some very sad news. Fellow storm chaser Andy Gabrielson was killed in a car accident on I-44 in Oklahoma. A drunk driver was driving down the wrong side of the road when he hit Andy head on. Andy was on his way home from a chase trip in Texas on Thursday and Friday.
Storm Chasers from all over the USA came togther to make this using GPS and Spotter Network.

There's a chance of showers and thunderstorms for North Alabama tonight. Shouldn't be anything severe, just a lot of rain and wind.

Disaster Preparedness Resource Fair
AlabamaStormChasers (ASC) was out at the very first A&M Disaster Preparedness Resource Fair this weekend. We had a blast meeting with a bunch of people. Our table was setup beside the NWS's table which made it a great day talking with those guys. We hope they do it again next year!

A Freeze Warning is in Effect for Tonight
High pressure with its associated cold airmass, covers the deep
south. Here in the Tennessee Valley Region of north Alabama and
southern middle Tennessee area temperatures have been unseasonably
cold and a freeze warning has been issued from 1 AM to 9 AM
Saturday.
